Before joining
Yates Law Firm, Ms. Rockers was employed with
Patton Boggs, LLP during which time she worked
with a team of attorneys and paralegals on a
case involving Hawaiian growers of ornamental
plants and vegetables, which resulted in a
successful settlement of their claims in state
court in Hawaii. [Asia Pacific et al. v. DuPont
(HI)]
Ms. Rockers also
worked with the same group on cases involving
the defense of major plumbing manufacturers who
were involved in the largest national class
action settlement of products liability property
damage claims in U.S. law at that time - the
homeowners who experienced leaking polybutylene
plumbing systems in the class actions brought in
18 states were to receive payment from a $950
million settlement pool. The group successfully
represented the major plastic plumbing
manufacturers in litigation against the material
supplier, DuPont, concerning DuPont's supply of
material (Delrin) for fittings included in these
systems. [Brass Craft et al. v. DuPont; Delta
Faucet division of Masco et al. v. DuPont et
al.; Spencer et al. v. DuPont, Shell, et al.;
Cox et al. v. Shell, Hoechst Celanese et al.; In
Re U.S. Brass].
